Job description

A respected financial services firm is seeking a highly capable senior level Accounting Associate to join its accounting team. This role is ideal for professionals with 3–10 years of experience—particularly from wealth management, family office, or related environments—who are looking to take ownership of both core accounting functions and strategic financial projects.

As a senior level Accounting Associate, you will manage complex bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities across multiple entities. You’ll also lead key processes and contribute to continuous improvement efforts, with exposure to both financial and tax-related reporting. This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that values precision, discretion, and initiative.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day accounting, including general ledger maintenance and month-end close
  • Prepare reconciliations (bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts)
  • Handle cash management and support tax reporting with detailed financial data
  • Review financial statements and disbursements for accuracy and consistency
  • Lead and contribute to accounting-related projects and process improvements
  • Identify risks and recommend practical, effective solutions
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external auditors with professionalism and discretion

Qualifications:

  • 3–10 years of relevant accounting experience in financial services (wealth management, family office, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reporting practices
  • High proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting systems
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Discreet and professional in handling sensitive financial information
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA-track preferred

This position offers meaningful responsibility, the chance to build lasting relationships, and the opportunity to grow within a values-driven, entrepreneurial culture. You’ll tackle diverse challenges and play an important role in shaping the financial operations of a dynamic organization.
