Responsibilities:

  • Duties and responsibilities may include analysis of accounting related to non-standard transactions, implementation of new US GAAP accounting standards, providing US GAAP technical accounting support to global business partners, internal audit liaison, SEC disclosure support, preparation of technical accounting memo’s, digital transformation and continuous improvement projects requiring the use of in-depth accounting knowledge, practices, and principles as well as ingenuity and originality.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and collaborate across multi-functional teams.
  • Administer surveys and confirmations to support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Establish business partnerships across the organization and assist accounting in support of their business strategies.
  • Perform accounting policy research and assist in solving complex accounting issues applying knowledge of SEC reporting.
  • Analyzes financial reports and records and may make studies or recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
  • May review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records.
  • May make recommendations for changes in policies and practices to correct accounting related problems and processes.
  • Applies a broad knowledge of advanced accounting methods and procedures.
  • May participate in accounting system development, determining specifications, testing and implementation.
  • Reviews assignments for accuracy and completeness.
  • Understands the established continuous improvement objectives for the department.
  • Analyzes data and makes business decisions based on such analysis.

Requirements:

  • Prefers a Bachelor’s in Accounting is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience is recommended.
  • Must have a broad understanding of accounting, business processes and systems.
  • CPA is recommended.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting distribution and ability to verify correctness and completeness of such information.
  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Outlook and Teams is recommended.
  • Broad understanding of accounting and business processes and systems.
  • Leadership / supervisory abilities.
