Are you looking for a career change? A local financial services firm in Connecticut seeks experienced professional for Fund Accountant role. Responsibilities include maintaining fund books and records. Terrific opportunity for those seeking fund accounting positions.

Responsibilities:

Oversee funds' finalization process, including P&L reconciling and allocation investigate and resolve discrepancies with third party fund administrator and internal teams.

Oversee the financial operations of an organization.

Monitor the company's finances and produce financial reports.

Prepare quarterly unaudited financial statements and annual audited financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and coordinate with external auditors for the year-end audit process.

Prepare and review monthly fund forecasts and other ad-hoc requests/projects.

Prepare inputs for annual regulatory reporting, investor letters, custom client reporting, and firm level reporting.

Prepare and review expense allocations, operating expense budgets, and vendor expense payments.

Review fund legal documents and continue to streamline or build processes and templates.

Qualifications:

1+ years of relevant Fund Accounting experience preferred.

1-2 years of public accounting experience preferred.

Bachelor's degree in accounting

Microsoft Excel proficient

Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills

Great interpersonal skills

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Strong attention to detail
