Our client, a rapidly growing company, is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join their dynamic accounting and financial reporting team. This is a highly visible and impactful role, ideal for a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and brings deep expertise in technical accounting, complex transactions, and US GAAP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, evaluate, and document the US GAAP and SEC reporting implications of complex transactions, including leases, revenue recognition, financings, derivatives, and business combinations.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support the technical implementation of new agreements and initiatives.
  • Review lease contracts and apply appropriate accounting treatment under ASC 842.
  • Lead technical accounting matters for business combinations, divestitures, impairments, and other complex transactions in coordination with valuation experts and auditors.
  • Play a key role in the adoption of new accounting standards, developing accounting policies, and implementing best practices across the company.
  • Draft or update accounting policies, create white papers, and prepare internal training materials to support accurate and compliant financial reporting.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact with external auditors on technical accounting matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting; CPA required
  • Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience, including technical accounting. Big 4 public accounting experience or accounting advisory experience preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and technical accounting guidance.
  • Strong experience with lease accounting, revenue recognition, debt, fixed assets, and business combinations.
  • Proven ability to assess the accounting impact of complex transactions and communicate findings clearly and concisely.
  • Exceptional research, writing, and presentation skills for preparing technical memos and internal documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Experience with Workiva is a strong plus.
  • Highly organized, action-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
