A well-established and growing CPA firm in the Bay Area is seeking a Tax Manager to join their high-performing team.

The Tax Manager will have experience handling complex tax matters for high-net-worth individuals, corporate tax, and partnerships. The Tax Manager will lead client engagements, manage a team of tax professionals, and serve as a trusted advisor to sophisticated clientele.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multiple tax engagements for individuals, partnerships, S-corps, and corporations with a focus on high-net-worth clients
• Review complex tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Provide proactive tax planning, structuring, and advisory services to clients, especially those with real estate investments and closely-held businesses
• Supervise and mentor tax staff and managers; provide technical guidance and training
• Research complex tax issues and develop strategies to minimize tax liabilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for key client relationships
• Coordinate with other departments (audit, advisory) to provide holistic client service
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax code changes and industry trends

Qualifications:

• CPA is preferred but not required
• Minimum 4+ years of public accounting experience with a focus on tax
• Strong experience with high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and corporate taxation
• Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and complex engagements
• Experience with tax research tools and tax software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Previous supervisory experience is a plus
