Staff Accountant, Accounts Receivable

We're partnering with an apparel company on the search for a Staff Accountant to own accounts receivable for its New York City office.

The company operates across wholesale, ecommerce, and retail channels, with a close-knit finance team. This is a great fit for someone who wants full ownership of AR within a stable, well-established company.

What you'll be doing:

• Own the full accounts receivable cycle, including cash application, customer credit processing, and chargeback resolution
• Support preparation of bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end close and analytical reporting
• Partner with cross-functional teams on wholesale account issues and collections
• Bring a positive, engaged presence to a team that works closely together and values a friendly, collaborative atmosphere
  

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Minimum of 3 years of AR or general accounting experience, ideally including wholesale exposure
• Solid understanding of bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and double-entry accounting
• A genuinely engaging, personable communication style, this team spends a lot of time talking to each other and to customers
• Comfortable in an in-office, collaborative environment
