Hoxton Circle has partnered with a local non-profit in the Monterey area hoping to add a Staff or Senior level Accountant to their team. There is a chance to go into a seasoned accounting team with lots of experience and hit the ground running with some room for growth. The role is direct-hire permanent with sign-on bonus potential.

Job duties:

• Assists in the development and maintenance of financial reporting systems to ensure integrity of finances based on sound accounting procedures and controls.
• Review all paid invoices to make sure that they're in compliance
• Reviews and reconciles all related General Ledge accounts monthly to ensure that all entries are recorded accurately and according to GAAP.
• Prepare and assist preparing all agency budgets.
• Review agency payroll, allocations and prepare budget to actual reports.
• Prepare all agency billing and apply cash when received.
• Assist with agency audits
• Prepare compliance reports

Qualifications:

• 3 years experience in accounting in government, non-profit or educational accounting. .
• Experience with a fiscal calendar. 
• BA degree in Accounting and/or AA degree with 5+ years experience. 
• Strong MS Excel skills and knowledge.
