Hoxton Circle has partnered with a local property management/ real estate client that needs to add a Staff Accountant experienced in Property Accounting for a 5-7 month project. Medical benefits and sick pay available through Hoxton Circle during the contract phase. 

Job Duties:

• Process daily rent receipts and post tenant payments (ACH, checks, wires)
• Maintain accurate tenant ledgers and resolve payment discrepancies
• Review, code, and enter vendor invoices; prepare AP payment batches
• Ensure proper approval and GL coding of property expenses
• Post journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications
• Perform bank and security deposit reconciliations
• Monitor prepaid expenses and account balances
• Assist with month-end close and financial statement preparation
• Analyze budget vs. actual variances and report findings
• Serve as liaison between property managers, vendors, and ownership
  

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of accounting experience
• Operational AP/AR, and GL coding experience. 
• Experience in property management/ real estate
