A leading corporation based in Salinas is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team on  direct hire basis. The Staff Accountant will play a key part in supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to process improvements in a dynamic, seasonal business environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and allocations
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes across multiple entities
• Partner with accounting team to assist in completing financial reporting
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting, including seasonal cash flow analysis

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but equivalent work experience will suffice
• Two+ years of accounting experience
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, SAP, or similar)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
