We’re working with a newly acquired, private equity–backed distribution company that’s adding a Staff Accountant to its growing finance team. This is a high-impact role supporting the Controller as the business upgrades systems and builds out scalable infrastructure.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, wants broader exposure, and enjoys being hands-on while the business matures through integration and transformation.

Based 5 days per week in office.

What you’ll be doing:

• Own day-to-day accounting tasks including AP, journal entries, bank recs, and accruals
• Support the monthly close process and assist in preparing financial statements
• Work closely with the Controller to help implement an AP automation system
• Support accounting for inventory transactions, reconciliations, and related month-end processes
• Assist with ad hoc analysis and contribute to continuous process improvements
• Help maintain internal controls and ensure accurate financial reporting

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor's in Accounting and 1-3 years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of journal entries, month end reconciliations etc.
• Understanding of general accounting principles and comfort working independently
• Bonus points for inventory accounting experience
• Great communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset
