Senior Analyst – Strategic Finance

Location: Manhattan, NY
Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days per week in office
Compensation: $100,000–$110,000 base salary + bonus

Our client, a high-end retail company, is seeking a sharp and analytically driven Senior Analyst – Strategic Finance to join its growing finance organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance professional with 1–3 years of investment banking or private equity experience who wants to transition into a strategic corporate finance role.

The Senior Analyst will support the company’s FP&A and strategic finance functions, partnering across the business on forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, and analysis. The role will have exposure to the commercial side of the organization, including merchandising and operations, and will help provide financial insights to support key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Analyze business performance and provide actionable financial insights.
• Support strategic finance initiatives and ad hoc analysis for senior leadership.
• Partner with commercial, merchandising, and operational teams to evaluate business performance.
• Assist with financial reporting, variance analysis, and performance tracking.
• Utilize data visualization and analytics tools to communicate financial trends and insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of investment banking, private equity, or highly analytical finance experience.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Strong proficiency with Tableau and/or Power BI.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Excellent Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Highly motivated, intellectually curious, and eager to grow within a strategic finance organization.
