Our client is a globally operating manufacturing organization seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to support operational cost analysis, accounting, and financial reporting activities. This role partners closely with FP&A, operations, and supply chain teams to provide accurate cost insights, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensure strong financial controls within a manufacturing environment. The position reports to senior FP&A leadership and plays a key role in month-end close, standard costing, and inventory management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Analyze and report manufacturing variances, including labor, overhead, absorption, material usage, scrap, and purchase price variance (PPV)
- Support budgeting and forecasting for production volumes, earned hours, overhead cost centers, and operational variances
- Prepare and analyze monthly inventory balances, inventory reserves, and warranty reserves
- Lead the annual standard cost development and roll-up process within the ERP system in collaboration with Supply Chain and Manufacturing Engineering teams
- Review bills of material and routing structures to ensure accuracy prior to standard cost setup for new product releases
- Prepare and coordinate transfer pricing activities across legal entities
- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Coordinate and analyze physical inventory counts and cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Support internal and external operational audits and ensure compliance with IFRS and internal control requirements

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Approximately 2–3 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and explain cost drivers and variances
- Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a cross-functional environment
- MBA, CMA, or CFA credentials are a plus
