Our client, a leading provider of home services, is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations, reporting, and accounting processes across multiple franchise brands. This role will report directly to the SVP of Accounting and play a key part in driving accuracy, efficiency, and scalability within a fast-growing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the general ledger, monthly close, and financial reporting for multiple franchise entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP.

  • Manage and review the work of accounting staff, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and performance development.

  • Partner closely with Revenue, Billing, and Operations teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition, reconciliations, and alignment between financial reporting and operational data.

  • Lead the preparation and review of monthly financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports for senior leadership.

  • Coordinate annual audit activities, ensuring proper documentation, reconciliations, and communication with external auditors.

  • Maintain and continuously improve internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures to strengthen data integrity and operational efficiency.

  • Oversee cash management, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, ensuring proper timing and accuracy of transactions.

  • Support the implementation and optimization of accounting systems and automation tools to enhance workflow and reporting capabilities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives that impact financial performance.

  • Provide key insights to the VP of Finance Operations and executive team to support decision-making and business growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).

  • 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.

  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and multi-entity consolidations.

  • Proven ability to lead month-end and year-end close processes in a dynamic, multi-brand environment.

  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling; experience with ERP or accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar).

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.

  • Experience in a multi-location, franchise, or service-based industry is highly desirable.
