We are a fast-growing digital marketing firm based in Bergen County, NJ, seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will take ownership of key accounting functions, support financial reporting across lines of business, and serve as a trusted partner to business leadership. Responsibilities:

• Lead the month-end close process for assigned lines of business, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements
• Ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare and analyze key financial metrics and revenue trends
• Present monthly financial analysis to business leadership and collaborate on forward-looking expectations
• Review and interpret insurance carrier data, including contracts, commissions, and policy activity
• Reconcile general ledger accounts to maintain accurate financial reporting
• Partner with accounting team members to support consolidated company financial reporting
• Develop, document, and enhance monthly close procedures
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting workflows, policies, and internal controls
• Prepare audit schedules and provide supporting documentation to external auditors
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives
• Contribute positively to a collaborative and fast-paced team environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas)
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-finance stakeholders
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus
• CPA certification is a plus
