Senior Accountant

A dynamic entertainment based company headquartered in Manhattan is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance and accounting team. This hybrid opportunity offers strong exposure across accounting operations, financial analysis, and international business activities within a collaborative and fast paced environment.

The organization has multiple international offices and is looking for a motivated accounting professional who can contribute across a variety of accounting functions while partnering closely with leadership and cross functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and participate in the month end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Maintain and oversee general ledger activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Support revenue accounting processes and assist with revenue related analysis and reporting
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Partner with cross functional teams to support operational and financial initiatives across the organization
• Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation for internal and external reporting needs
• Support accounting activities related to international offices and global operations
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhanced reporting efficiencies
• Assist with ad hoc projects, financial analysis, and management reporting requests

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month end close processes
• Experience with revenue accounting and financial analysis preferred
• Public accounting and private industry mix preferred, though candidates coming directly from private industry will also be considered
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to work in a fast paced and collaborative environment
