Commercial Property Accountant
Location: Palo Alto, CA (100% Onsite, Mon–Fri)
Salary: $85,000 – $90,000

Seeking an experienced Commercial Property Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties. This role partners closely with property management and ownership to ensure accurate reporting, budgeting support, and strong financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledgers for multiple properties

• Handle full-cycle AP/AR, tenant billings (rent, CAM, utilities), and collections

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (GAAP)

• Post journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations (including bank & security deposits)

• Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis

• Support CAM reconciliations and NNN lease accounting

• Respond to owner and tenant accounting inquiries

• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• 5+ years of commercial real estate accounting experience

• Strong GAAP knowledge and Excel skills

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication abilities

• Able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
