Finance Manager
New York, NY | On-site, 5 days a week

A full service entertainment company known for building and elevating major artists, athletes, and brands is hiring a Finance Manager to run the P&L and day-to-day financial operations.

This is a hands-on, high-visibility role at the center of the business. You'll drive accounting, billing, and reporting across all sports divisions, working closely with agents, consultants, and senior leadership. The ideal candidate is a high-energy problem solver who's organized, detail-obsessed, and comfortable managing a large volume of clients and moving parts at once.

What you'll do

Accounting & Month-End Close
Own the month-end close process, including accruals and reconciliations across all sports divisions. Maintain deferred revenue schedules and ensure revenue recognition aligns with contract terms. Manage commission expense reconciliations, bonus tracking, and P&L reporting by sport, client, and deal type.

Accounts Receivable & Billing
Manage end-to-end invoicing for 300+ clients on a bi-annual cycle, from creation through distribution and collections. Keep AR records clean and current. Coordinate with financial advisors on remittances, disputes, tax documentation, and reconciliations, and notify agents when client payments land.

Financial Reporting & Cash Flow
Prepare weekly cash flow schedules and support rolling forecasts.

Contract & Revenue Tracking
Maintain athlete contracts, deal terms, and commission structures in internal systems.

Budgeting & Forecasting
Partner with FP&A on financial models and the annual budgeting cycle.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with strong command of AR, accrual accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Oracle or a similar ERP system required
• Familiarity with Airtable or similar workflow/database platforms strongly preferred
• Sharp attention to detail and comfort managing high-volume data with accuracy
• Confident communicator who works well with agents, advisors, and senior leadership
• Proven ability to juggle multiple deadlines independently
