Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive tax strategy, planning, compliance, and risk management for individuals, trusts, partnerships, private investment vehicles, and related entities.
- Develop and implement proactive, tax-efficient strategies aligned with investment and estate planning objectives.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and review of individual, trust, partnership, and pass-through entity tax filings.
- Monitor and interpret changes in federal, state, and local tax laws, assessing implications for clients and the organization.
- Provide expert guidance on complex tax matters, including multi-state taxation, carried interest, private equity and alternative investments, estate and gift tax planning, and structuring of family entities.
- Oversee tax audits, inquiries, projections, and estimates, and establish internal policies and procedures to ensure scalability and mitigate risk.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing tax team, fostering professional development and excellence.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to support strategic initiatives, client acquisition, and long-term organizational growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and active CPA license required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive tax experience, with substantial exposure to high-net-worth individuals, trusts, partnerships, and investment-related tax matters.
- Experience in wealth management, family offices, public accounting with private client services, or investment management strongly preferred.
- Strong technical tax knowledge, excellent judgment, and the ability to translate complex tax concepts into practical guidance.
- Proven leadership and team management experience, with outstanding communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, advisors, and senior executives.
