We’re partnering with a high-growth AI SaaS company on the search for their first dedicated Director of FP&A. The business is growing 70-100% YoY and is now building the financial infrastructure needed to support the next phase of scale toward $100M+ ARR.
The acting finance leader built the FP&A foundation while also stepping into a broader executive finance role, and now needs someone who can take the keys, level up the function, and operate as a genuine strategic finance partner to leadership and the Board.
The company combines strong growth with disciplined economics and the environment is highly execution-oriented: lean teams, high accountability, low ego, and a genuine focus on using data to drive decisions rather than create noise.
What you’ll be doing:
- Own the company’s planning cadence across budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and board reporting
- Build and refine financial models tied to growth scenarios, hiring plans, capital allocation, and operational performance
- Create more structure and visibility around KPIs, forecasting accuracy, and reporting timelines as the business scales toward $100M+ ARR
- Develop standardized dashboards and reporting frameworks that give leadership real-time visibility into growth drivers, pipeline health, retention trends, and operational performance
- Lead preparation of board materials and executive reporting, turning complex financial and operational data into actionable recommendations
- Partner closely with GTM leadership on territory planning, pipeline analytics, sales productivity, and broader go-to-market strategy
- Improve the connection between accounting, operations, and FP&A to shorten the gap between close and actionable insight
- Drive implementation of FP&A tooling and continue building scalable reporting and planning infrastructure
- Help establish common definitions, metrics, and operating rhythms across teams to create greater alignment and decision-making clarity
- Operate as a strategic thought partner to leadership, bringing commercial insight and a clear point of view rather than simply reporting numbers
What we’re looking for:
- Investment banking background with advanced financial modeling skills
- B2B enterprise SaaS experience (planned around 12+ month sales cycles)
- Experience in a growth stage company and, ideally, during the journey from $50M to $200M
- Prior ownership of board reporting cycles and executive-level forecasting
- Deep GTM finance experience is highly preferred
- Strong commercial instincts and the ability to communicate real business insights, not just numbers
- Hands-on, self-sufficient operator who thrives in lean, fast-moving environments
