A global, innovation-driven organization is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to support a specialized advanced manufacturing business unit. This role is highly visible and plays a critical part in cost analysis, manufacturing performance, and financial decision support within a regulated, complex production environment.

Key Responsibilities
Analyze and report manufacturing variances including labor, overhead, absorption, material usage, scrap, and purchase price variance (PPV)
Lead forecasting and budgeting efforts related to production volume, earned hours, overhead cost centers, and operational variances
Prepare and analyze monthly inventory, inventory reserves, and warranty reserves
Coordinate annual standard cost updates and cost roll-ups within the ERP system
Partner with Supply Chain and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure accuracy of BOMs and routings for new product launches
Prepare and manage transfer pricing activities across multiple legal entities
Support internal and external operational audits and ensure compliance with IFRS and internal policies
Execute month-end close activities including journal entries and account reconciliations
Coordinate and analyze physical inventory counts and cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies
Act as a key business partner to Manufacturing and Supply Chain leadership, providing actionable cost insights
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years of hands-on cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing variance analysis
Experience working cross-functionally with Production and Supply Chain teams
Proficiency with SAP or a similar ERP system
Strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in using cost data to drive profitability
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have
MBA, CMA, or CFA
Fluency in German or Spanish
Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (medical device, life sciences, pharma or similar)
