A fast-growing organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager to oversee and optimize the full AR function across a multi-location franchise network. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, process-driven professional who understands the unique complexities of franchise accounting and can lead a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

The AR Manager will be responsible for managing collections, billing, cash application, franchisee account reconciliations, and reporting. This individual will collaborate closely with operations, finance, and franchise owners to ensure accurate, timely, and transparent financial information.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, collections, cash application, and reconciliations.
  • Manage AR processes specific to franchise operations, such as royalty billing, advertising fund contributions, and monthly franchisee statements.
  • Monitor franchisee compliance with payment terms and escalate delinquencies as needed.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the AR team; establish clear performance goals and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Partner with franchise owners and operations leadership to resolve account discrepancies and provide financial clarity.
  • Develop and maintain AR policies, procedures, and internal controls tailored to a franchise environment.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly AR reports, including aging analysis and KPI dashboards.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance automation, and improve cash flow.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to support month-end and year-end close.
  • Assist with audits and ensure all AR documentation is accurate and compliant.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of accounts receivable experience, with at least 1 year in a lead, management, or supervisory role.
  • Previous experience working for a company with franchises is required.
  • Strong understanding of AR best practices, internal controls, and cash flow processes.
  • Experience with high-volume, multi-entity or multi-location environments
  • Proficiency in AR/accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with franchise owners and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
