Responsibilities will heavily be focused on leading the Accounts Payable function and executing the monthly financial statement close which includes preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, and maintaining close schedules for all accounting areas. The Senior Accountant will also play a pivotal role in helping manage our year-end audit by preparing documents and working with our auditors on walkthroughs and testing.

Key Responsibilities

• · Prepare bank transaction matching as part of the bank reconciliation process

• · Perform accounts payable coding and ensure expense reporting accuracy on the GL.

• · Perform month-end close entries and account analysis based on a closing schedule.

• · Adhere to the month-end close calendar with various journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

• · Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of financial statement preparation.

• · Work with external auditors on annual audits.

• · Ensure proper record retention is upheld for all financial records.

• · Assist with other internal reporting requirements for company

• · Liase with the Tax Team to assist in the preparation of tax filings.

• · Assist in continuous accounting process improvements and enhancements of our new ERP (NetSuite)

  Desired Qualifications & Requirements

• · Proven track record of high performance and positive supervisor feedback, with excellent professional references.

• · Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting.

• · 3+ years of experience in similar roles.

• · CPA and Big-4 experience are a plus

• · Proficiency in month-end close processes, including reconciliations and scheduling.

• · Strong critical thinking skills and a continuous improvement mindset.

• · Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

• · Experience working in a start-up environment and in the Media/Entertainment industry is a plus

• · Experience with NetSuite and Ramp highly preferred.
