The Opportunity

This is a key hire within the finance team, responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations while driving process improvements and supporting leadership with accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, mid-sized business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounting (AP, AR, GL, month-end close)
• Manage and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams
• Assist with audit, tax filings, and external reporting
• Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or related industries preferred
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• CPA or CPA-track is a plus
