🎯 Background
I began my corporate career as an accountant while still in undergrad and transitioned into recruiting after completing a successful accounting contract through a staffing agency — an opportunity that led to an in-house recruiting role with the same firm upon graduating. Although never intending to continue a career in recruiting long-term having gone for my masters in anthropology, I fell in love with it, and have now been in the staffing industry for 16 years. My previous background as an accountant enabled me to excel in staffing for accounting and finance positions, but my recruiting experience also encompasses a broader range of experience, such as engineering, IT, scientific, production, and legal. I have recruited on a national and global basis for some of the largest corporations in the world, and for the small company down the street. As you’ve probably guessed, I enjoy the variety of experiences that come with working in the staffing world.

I am a trained opera and jazz singer and now only use my talents for karaoke.

I have so many favorite tools, but the best “tool” any recruiter can have is the referral of a great client or candidate from his/ her network.

🏖️ Outside of Work
Decorating cakes. I am pretty decent at it having no formal training. I am also a rare disease advocate for IRF2BPL/ NEDAMSS and dedicate a majority of my time outside of work towards this cause.
