This Senior Accountant position will report directly into a Controller with a stellar background and eager to grow and mentor this individual. 30% of the employees have PhDs here, making the business data-driven, therefore accounting and finance insight is greatly valued, giving the Senior Accountant an important voice.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in the monthly, quarterly, and yearly close process
• Record journal entries and prepare reconciliations and weekly reconciliation of cash accounts
• Internal controls, process standardization and compliance
• Ensure proper documentation, assist in audits, and ERP system implementation
• Assist with external year-end audits including preparation of necessary work papers
• Maintain and improve accounting and business processes documentation
• Ad hoc responsibilities in finance and operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• Current 2+ years of Big 4 professional accounting experience required
• CPA (or working towards a CPA license)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter, critical thinker, and multitasker
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Advanced Excel user – ability to create pivot tables, V look-ups, etc.
