We are partnering with a hugely exciting, global Tech startup that supports a growing list of large institutions with digital industry transformation. Having reached the scale up phase after solidifying the foundations of its products, and with plans to double headcount over the next 5 years, this is an amazing time to join this innovative and forward thinking company.

As the Director of Strategic Finance, you will utilize your analytical skills and inquisitive mindset to provide commercial support to budget owners and exec team members in NYC. You will have the opportunity to bring everything you’ve already learned and implement it here to make the role what you want it to be. This position is not a run of the mill FP&A – it is highly strategic and business facing, and will be a key partner to the leadership team

Key responsibilities

  • Support various stakeholders with understanding business performance and financial results, headcount planning, long range planning, KPI implementation and tracking, modeling new product launches and special initiatives, and building business cases
  • Operate as an essential partner to sales and sales operations, helping to drive sales growth and ensuring a seamless flow of high quality data that contributes to accurate revenue forecasting
  • Collaborate with other finance leaders on analyzing business cases, new investments and M&A targets, and streamlining and automating processes and procedures
  • Prepare materials for monthly management and quarterly board meetings, and deliver insightful presentations with commentary on notable variances and key results from individual business areas
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members and foster an open and collaborative environment that encourages people to voice new ideas and approaches

What we’re looking for

  • A progressive and impactful background providing strategic support to business leads of various functions
  • Extremely strong alignment to sales functions in previous roles – a huge part of this role
  • Ideally, a background in SaaS/tech and high growth environments
  • Familiarity with new revenue recognition standards
