We have a company seeking a meticulous and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team in North Bergen, NJ. This role offers a hybrid work model, providing a flexible balance between remote and in-office work. This role is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the accounts receivable process. You will ensure timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and account reconciliation. Your role is crucial in maintaining positive relationships and ensuring the smooth flow of cash into the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate, review, and distribute accurate invoices to customers. Ensure all invoices are sent in a timely manner and address any discrepancies or issues.
  • Manage and oversee the collections process, including following up on overdue accounts, negotiating payment terms, and resolving any disputes or issues with customers.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and resolve discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of all transactions and account activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to accounts receivable. Address and resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
  • Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports, including aging reports, cash receipts, and account status. Provide insights and recommendations for improving collections and cash flow.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the accounts receivable function.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant accounting regulations. Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related financial role. Experience in a hybrid work environment is a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, MRI, or similar ERP systems). Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies and errors accurately.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus but not a must have.
