Compensation

$85,000 - $105,000

A well-regarded financial advisory firm is hiring a Senior Tax Associate for its high-net-worth tax and financial planning team. This is a genuine dual role, technical tax work combined with real financial planning exposure and direct client contact, not just prep work behind the scenes.

You'll prepare and review individual, trust, gift, and pass-through-entity returns, research complex tax issues, and handle IRS correspondence when needed. On the planning side, you'll support strategy around estate and gift planning, wealth transfer, Roth conversions, RMDs, and QCDs. You'll join client meetings, manage relationships directly, and review the work of junior associates, so this suits someone ready to lead without full people management yet.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • CPA or EA (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
  • 2+ years in public accounting
  • Able to work extended hours during peak tax season

Preferred

  • Estate and trust return experience for high-net-worth clients
  • Familiarity with CCH Axcess Tax, Bloomberg Income Tax Planner, or Canopy
  • Familiarity with MoneyGuideElite or Holistiplan
  • CFP® credential
