A Senior Real Estate Accountant is needed for one of the largest privately held corporations in the nation! The Senior Real Estate Accountant will sit in the commercial real estate accounting division in West Los Angeles on a hybrid/ REMOTE basis. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience in the real estate industry, including property-level accounting, financial reporting, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple commercial properties in accordance with GAAP.
• Handle property-level accounting, including reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for commercial real estate assets.
• Manage general ledger activities related to property operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and real estate regulations.
• Collaborate with managers and internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Three+ years of accounting experience, with at least two years in real estate accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and real estate financial reporting.
• Experience with Yardi, MRI, or similar property management accounting software preferred.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid/remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
