We are representing a high-growth, PE backed company that is actively seeking a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting. As the Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting, you will support the company's financial reporting functions, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, and other applicable regulatory standards. You’ll be a critical part of the financial reporting team and work cross-functionally with accounting, audit, and finance to support external reporting and internal process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries and accruals with appropriate documentation
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses across multiple entities
- Manage intercompany transactions and month-end balances across multiple entities
- Assist in the monthly close process and internal/external reporting
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Implement accounting procedures by analyzing current processes and recommending improvements
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and global teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Support enhancements to accounting systems, ensuring alignment with GAAP and technical accounting standards
- Research and interpret financial data to answer accounting and financial questions, leveraging strong technical accounting skills and a deep understanding of GAAP
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- CPA is a plus.
- 1–3+ years of accounting and financial reporting experience, ideally in a Big 4 public accounting firm (audit and/or accounting advisory background preferred).
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting for US & international subsidiaries is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain accounting concepts and interact with multiple stakeholders.
- Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
