We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role supporting all aspects of Human Resources, with a strong emphasis on benefits administration, payroll support, and employee relations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is comfortable working as part of a small, collaborative HR team.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, qualifying life event changes, terminations, and COBRA administration.
- Support annual open enrollment activities and benefits renewals.
- Process and reconcile benefit invoices, including medical, dental, vision, commuter, and other insurance plans.
- Assist with payroll processing by entering employee changes, merit increases, promotions, and mid-year/year-end salary adjustments.
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and payroll-related questions.
- Support employee relations by assisting with performance management, policy interpretation, and employee inquiries.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and other employee lifecycle activities.
- Partner with leadership to support HR initiatives and day-to-day operational needs.
- Utilize ADP to maintain employee data, benefits, and payroll information.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
- Experience administering employee benefits and supporting payroll.
- Strong working knowledge of ADP is required.
- Experience with employee relations and HR compliance.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a small or lean HR department.
- Knowledge of benefits reconciliation and invoice processing.
- Familiarity with annual compensation planning, including merit increases and salary adjustments.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
