We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role supporting all aspects of Human Resources, with a strong emphasis on benefits administration, payroll support, and employee relations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is comfortable working as part of a small, collaborative HR team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, qualifying life event changes, terminations, and COBRA administration.
  • Support annual open enrollment activities and benefits renewals.
  • Process and reconcile benefit invoices, including medical, dental, vision, commuter, and other insurance plans.
  • Assist with payroll processing by entering employee changes, merit increases, promotions, and mid-year/year-end salary adjustments.
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and payroll-related questions.
  • Support employee relations by assisting with performance management, policy interpretation, and employee inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and other employee lifecycle activities.
  • Partner with leadership to support HR initiatives and day-to-day operational needs.
  • Utilize ADP to maintain employee data, benefits, and payroll information.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
  • Experience administering employee benefits and supporting payroll.
  • Strong working knowledge of ADP is required.
  • Experience with employee relations and HR compliance.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a small or lean HR department.
  • Knowledge of benefits reconciliation and invoice processing.
  • Familiarity with annual compensation planning, including merit increases and salary adjustments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
