Our client is a Management Consulting Firm who mainly works with clients who are primarily Private Equity firms. Aside from ESG due diligence, they also work directly with the portfolio companies to build ESG strategy & programs. They often call this Value Creation work.

The company was recently purchased and is in need of a Controller/Senior Accountant level candidate to help them thru this transition

Overview:

Role: Interim Controller

Duration: 3-month contract

Hours per week: 25 – 30 hours per week

Location: Remote anywhere in the US

Reports to: Dual reporting lines:

Job Responsibilities:

Review cash accounts, book activity, research where necessary

Manage accounting inbox

Respond to internal and external queries and ad-hoc requests

Weekly:

AP – enter invoices, make payments

Create invoices for completed projects- send for internal review, send to clients, track status, follow up

Handle any notices that come in the mail, mainly related to taxes or payroll

Monthly:

Monthly close journal entries

Account reconciliations

Review financials for completeness/accuracy

Send TB with activity to SLR and review with them

Quarterly:

Quarterly invoicing- run time reports to send to EMs, create and track invoices

Revenue adjustment process with SLR

Additional:

Work with LevitZacks as necessary for tax and annual review.

Requirements:

Needs NetSuite experience

Need to be able to do anything and everything accounting for small company

The Controller who is leaving for a new opportunity was the only Accounting person

Need full month end close experience

Candidates need to commit to the full 3 months and need to start asap
