We are partnering with a fast-growing, private equity–backed IT services company (over $150M in revenue) to recruit an Assistant Controller. This role will play a key part in strengthening the finance function as the company continues its rapid expansion. This is a full remote position ( East Coast / Central Time preferred). 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and ensure accuracy of the general ledger

• Oversee AR/AP activities, payroll accounting, and commission calculations

• Strengthen operational controls and improve accounting processes

• Prepare internal financial statements and management reporting

• Manage and mentor one direct report, and collaborate closely with AR/AP, Payroll, FP&A, and Operations teams

• Support audit readiness and ensure proper documentation and compliance

Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred

• 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience (GL, payroll, commissions)

• Prior audit experience (public accounting or audit liaison) strongly preferred

• 1–2 years of people management experience

• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Proficiency in NetSuite (required); experience with Power BI, Salesforce, and Ramp is a plus

• Advanced Excel and reporting skills

• Experience in a PE-backed or high-growth company is a plus
