Our client, a prominent company in the distribution and wholesale industry is seeking a dynamic Accounting Manager to join a growing team in a corporate environment with a mix of public/private experience or all corporate accounting and operations. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team, influence business operations, and be part of a thriving company. A CPA is strongly preferred, but we will consider candidates currently in the process of obtaining their CPA.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and manage the accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and team activities
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior accounting staff
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to support financial and operational goals
• Participate in strategic decision-making, providing financial insight to senior leadership

Key Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of accounting leadership experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide and develop a team of 4+ accounting professionals
• Solid work continuity—we are looking for candidates with a stable career path and no job hopping
• CPA certification strongly preferred, will consider experience and tenure
• Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued, but not required
